Link love: a great article to read

So lately I’ve been feeling a bit overwhelmed just by life, and family, and the prospect of adding to all that with the upcoming birth of this little one, and wondering how I can possibly get it all done … and possibly do it *well* either.  And I’ve been thinking a lot about what we really matters to me, what I can possibly cut out, what matters to other people but really isn’t at the top of my priorities.

Anyways, Simple Mom’s Simple Homeschool offshoot has a great article today on this: “On Being Busy or Being Full”… and I think most moms will be able to relate.  Check it out and tell me what you think.

P.S.  I’m venturing out on my first camping trip tonight, so this week’s winner won’t be posted until Sunday when I get back.

Thanks for your thoughts Sara I love that site and article. My Mom told me once that you make choices in life and each of those has a consequence (good and bad often) and being a healthy person means being ok with both.

Have fun camping that is our favorite thing to do! We are going camping (leaving Sunday) for a whole week! A bit nervous since william is crawling up a storm…we’ll need a month to scrub off all the dirt!

I think even before our daughter was born, my husband and I were FULL but others saw it as busy. We did what we wanted, and a little of what we didn’t really want to do (you have to have some of that! it often ends up being fulfilling anyway!) We’ve continued to do that for the past 21+ months with another person involved and it’s worked out SO well. We say no when we need to and yes when we want to.

Have fun camping…..no experience there, I actually have a bag that says “I love NOT camping” I’m just not a camper. hike? sure, lets go out all day, but get me home to sleep in my own bed 😀

Thanks for your beautiful words here. I wish so bad I had adopted this lifestyle before I had my little ones, so in some ways I am envious of you thinking this way already. And I agree – enjoy that camping time. I hope it’s full of beauty and enjoyment. 🙂
